We join with the NYS DEC to remind you the Annual Residential Brush Burning Prohibition starts March 16 and extends through May 14.
Open burning—as in outdoor fires, burn barrels, backyard incinerators, or any fire that’s not vented through a stack or chimney—is not allowed, with few exceptions.

Spring hasn't arrived yet even though we have "sprung ahead". According to Binghamton National Weather Service, severe weather will begin moving into the Central NY area this evening potentially continuing through Wednesday.

Each year on this day we welcome our brothers and sisters from Fayetteville and Manlius to our station to honor the memory of Lt. John "Gino" Ginochetti and FF Timothy "TJ" Lynch, who were both lost 21 years ago today while fighting a house fire on Sweet Road in the Town of Pompey. May their sacrifice always be remembered. ...
